Wednesday Bug Blogging: Mantid

(Above) A mantis. I would guess it's a nymph of tenodera aridifolia sinensis since it is (a) green, unlike stagmomantis carolina, (b)wingless, and (c) already too big for a mantis religiosa. I took this picture in Boone County, Indiana.

I'm pretty sure this one is a stagmomantis carolina. I took this picture in South Carolina.
